PROFESSIONAL PROFILE

Xavier Mendoza, professionally known as DUX-M, is a Dominican international breaking artist, Pan American Games athlete, choreographer, instructor, judge, and performer based in Connecticut, USA.With more than 15 years of experience, Mendoza has established himself as one of the most accomplished Dominican breaking athletes of his generation, representing the Dominican Republic at prestigious competitions, cultural events, corporate productions, and international stages across North America, Europe, Asia, and Latin America.

 

He is a two-time Red Bull BC One Dominican Republic Champion (2012 and 2015), becoming the only Dominican breaker to qualify for multiple Red Bull BC One Latin American Finals. He is also the only Dominican athlete to qualify for the Red Bull BC One Spain Cypher (2021), one of the most competitive national qualifiers in Europe.

 

 

Throughout his career, Mendoza has earned titles and podium finishes at internationally recognized events including Battle of the Year Spain, Hip Hop International Dominican Republic, Outbreak NYC, Undisputed NYC, Arctic Jam Norway, Break On Stage Spain, and numerous competitions throughout Europe and the Americas.

 

 

 

In 2023, he became the first and only Dominican breaking athlete to compete at the Pan American Games in Santiago, Chile. His qualification required participation in the official Olympic pathway through international events held in Spain, Canada, Japan, Hong Kong, Brazil, and Chile, competing against some of the world's highest-ranked athletes.

 

 

Beyond competition, Mendoza has built a successful international career as a performer and creative collaborator, working with major brands and productions including FIFA, Puma, RB Leipzig, Target, Champion, GAP, JD Sports, Apple Vision Pro, Dave & Buster's, Usher, LL Cool J, Kurtis Blow, Enrique Iglesias, and numerous corporate and entertainment productions across the United States and Europe.As an instructor, judge, and mentor, he continues to support the growth of breaking culture by training young dancers, leading workshops, judging competitions, and inspiring the next generation of athletes.

 

 

His journey from the Dominican Republic to international stages demonstrates how dedication, discipline, and perseverance can transform passion into opportunity. Today, Xavier Mendoza continues to represent Dominican talent worldwide while opening doors for future generations of dancers and athletes from his country.

Through years of dedication, discipline, and perseverance, he transformed his talent into an international career, competing and performing on some of the world's most prestigious stages.

His path includes becoming a two-time Red Bull BC One Dominican Republic Champion, the only Dominican athlete to qualify for multiple Red Bull BC One international finals, and the first and only Dominican breaking athlete to compete at the Pan American Games Santiago 2023.

Today, Xavier continues to represent the Dominican Republic worldwide, proving that dreams born on the streets and dance floors of his country can reach the highest levels of sport, culture, and entertainment.
